This prologue also shows some of the minor ways the remake deviates from the original, showing new scenes of the team arriving at the USG Ishimura. This showed the prologue to the first chapter, and also showcased the work put in by EA Motive to recreate the original game and make it visually compare to more recent games. This announcement follows the release of 18 minutes of gameplay being revealed from the remake. Dead Space 2 picks up 3 years after the events of the first game and has players exploring the civilian space station The Sprawl. While it may not compare visually to the newer remake, Dead Space 2 is still a classic horror game that furthers Issac's story after the events in the remake.
While the Dead Space Remake is coming reworked from the ground up, Dead Space 2 will be the classic version from 2011.
